IBN Announces Latest Episode of The BioMedWire Podcast Featuring Dr. Ehud Geller, CEO of Regentis Biomaterials Ltd.

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 18, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via IBNIBN, a multifaceted communications organization engaged in connecting public companies to the investment community, is pleased to announce the release of the latest episode of  The BioMedWire Podcast as part of its sustained effort to provide specialized content distribution via widespread syndication channels.

The BioMedWire Podcast delivers dynamic interviews with industry experts at the forefront of pharmaceutical and biotech advancement. The latest episode features Dr. Ehud Geller, Executive Chairman and CEO of Regentis Biomaterials Ltd. (NYSE American: RGNT), a regenerative medicine company focused on innovative tissue repair solutions.

To begin the interview, Geller provided an overview of Regentis’ regenerative medicine platform and its lead product, GelrinC®, which is being developed to treat cartilage injuries in the knee.

“Our company, Regentis, is focused on developing technologies for regeneration of tissue, hence the name,” Geller said. “In our particular case, we have a platform from which we can develop a variety of applications. Currently, our lead product is called GelrinC®. Gelrin is the platform and C stands for cartilage, and we are specifically focused on treating cartilage injuries to the knee. We are already approved for marketing in Europe, and we are in the midst of our clinical trial, the pivotal trial which will get us permission from the FDA to start marketing in the U.S.”

Turning to the market opportunity, Geller discussed the prevalence of cartilage injuries among knee-related conditions and the size of the U.S. market Regentis is targeting.

“We believe that there are two layers to that market. The very obvious one: a patient comes to the doctor suffering from pain in his knee, and he would probably have one of three potential pathologies,” Geller said. “The major one, covering more than 50% of the cases, is ours. The total U.S. market annually is 470,000 cases a year, and that is the size of the market currently untreated.”

Looking at Regentis’ priorities for the remainder of 2026, Geller highlighted continued enrollment in the company’s U.S. pivotal study as well as efforts to advance commercialization in Europe.

“We want to finish enrolling the balance of our patients for the U.S. pivotal study, which we’re now running,” Geller said. “We’re in the midst of that study, and our team is right now opening more sites for a clinical study in the U.S. to speed up the enrollment, which we hope to finish by approximately the end of the year. Another thing that we’re doing is working quite actively on commercialization. We have approval in Europe, so we are permitted already to market and sell in Europe. Following our IPO, we started activities toward that. We are in discussion with a number of distribution systems and/or strategic major orthopedic companies in Europe.”

To close the interview, Dr. Geller said, “The message we bring to the market is one of a short, 10-minute procedure with two weeks of recovery, and I must say we've put in front of us durability as a slogan for the company. We need to treat patients in a way that will hold for a long time.”
